Inspired by Thomas Coash’s breathtaking piece Thin Air, The Project is currently seeking writers for three new one-act pieces. Each piece will be written for a solo actor with minimal set or stage fancy, running up to 16 minutes. Exploring the Clown, the Magician and the Ringmaster, we hope to explore the intricate lives of those who play so much on the line between reality and fantasy. Writers will work with the company as their pieces develop, utilizing ModernEyes’ range of talent. There is no set production date – proposed Fringe run in 2008/2009 on the east coast. Writers will receive a stipend/production share, and limited copyright of their individual piece.
