ModernEyes Theatre Company is currently working on exploring the issues dealing with same sex marriages in the church.
In conjunction with The Hollywood United Methodist Church, our first workshop was held on the 10th February 2007. Straight and gay Christian and
non-Christian actors and writers met and participated in a theatrical exploration of the arguments for and against gay weddings in the church.
One of the special moments of the workshop was the watching of a video recording of the last gay wedding legally held in the church ten years ago.
There was much discussion and theatrical improvisation with hopes that a full production can be developed in the next year to tour churches throughout the
United States. We are currently exploring, fund-raising and looking for interested parties. Anyone interested in this project should contact Linda Slade at
