About Us
ModernEyes Theatre Company is a 501c3 non-profit British/American theatre company based in England and across the United States. Our intention is to unite actors, writers and theatrical groups from different countries, often with different cultural and racial backgrounds, thus drawing on a richness and diversity of experience and tradition.
we aim to:
- Re-evaluate the classical texts for a modern audience
- Encourage the new writing of an exploratory and high artistic standard and to provide an environment where work and new talent can develop
- Make our work accessible to a wide audience both locally and internationally
- Work on projects and partnerships that can enhance and support local needs and organizations, thereby strengthening our links with our immediate community and with society at large
- Provide a program of lectures and participatory workshops in educational establishments to stimulate and encourage groups to explore the ideas and techniques developed in our productions
